Dr. Mani, Ann, and Becky,
I would like to tell you how very pleased I have been with the compliments I have received since my facial laser treatment.
The care and treatment I received from you while under your care was excellent. I always felt relaxed and comfortable around all or any one of the three of you.
You all have wonderful personalities and a very caring attitude.
Thank you again for your personal and professional treatment.
I look forward to seeing you again in the future for other lazer treatments.
“It’s malignant.: Two words, four syllables. And so began my journey with breast cancer. you might think this would be the worst possible thing that could happen – let me assure you I was not overjoyed with this news and I had the same concerns and fears that every other person has with this diagnosis. However, through my journey I have met people I would otherwise never have had the opportunity to meet. For that I am forever thankful.
The surgeon who did my mastectomies suggested that I wait until after radiation to have reconstructive surgery. I had 16 rounds of chemo and 35 of radiation. During that time I heard other women complain about the reconstructive process. I decided I had been through plenty and was not signing on for anything else that made me not feel well. I had been fitted with a prosthetic bra and felt like that was all I needed.
Every night when I took a shower I looked in the mirror and all I saw was a blank chest. the scars from the mastectomies didn’t bother me – I looked at the as battle scars. Night after night of seeing skin and ribs made me begin to wonder what it would be like to have breasts.
I went to a plastic surgeon in town who talked with me and my husband about what this process entailed. I have to say when we left I was more upset from talking to him than I was about the cancer itself. A friend suggested I talk with Dr. Mani about my concerns. One visit with him changed my whole outlook.
From the very first visit Dr. Mani explained, in detail, what would happen at each stage of the reconstruction. I felt as though he was partnering with me rather than dictating how it was going to be. At each appointment he would look me straight in the eye and ask what concerns I had and how I felt about the expanders and the discomfort. I have to say I had very little discomfort throughout the entire process. Becky and Ann were always available by phone to ask questions. We laughed at each appointment and moved on to the end product…breasts I had never had.
I believe God ordains things. While I still would not have chosen this journey for myself, I am forever grateful for the things I have learned about me and the people I have met along the way. Dr. Mani has set the bar for all other physicians to meet – and that bar is very high.
I have always been well pleased with Dr. Mani’s health services. I have had many procedures done over a period of years. Not only has his medical and surgical services been very good, his concern and personal attention has been greatly appreciated.
After having gastric bypass surgery in 2006 and losing more than 100 lbs, I was left with a lot of loose skin. Even though my health had drastically improved, my self image had not. I remember very clearly my 1st visit with Dr. Mani. I remember being conflicted, wanting so badly to have the skin removed, but also being so nervous and self conscious about having to expose a part of myself that I despised. After my examination was over, Dr. Mani was so kind. he simply said, “I want to help you”. There was no judgement, just confidence that he had the knowledge and skills to help correct my problem. he probably doesn’t know how much I appreciated him at that moment. Dr. Mani was always honest about what I could expect from surgery: realistic and unrealistic goals, pain, recovery time, and risks of complications. in May 2011 I had a lower body lift. He walked me through my recovery and he and his staff were always available for any questions or problems I had. Since then, I’ve also had a neck lift and I’m thinking about a medical thigh lift soon. As an RN myself, I understand that all patients deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. That is exactly what I received from Dr. Mani, Ann, & Becky. I have only the highest regard & deepest respect for them. Their professionalism is a rarity and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Dr. Mani, Ann, & Becky for your dedication.
When I started my search for the perfect place to have my breast augmentation, I spoke with several different clinics and looked at many web sites. Dr. Brantley’s nurse was so informative that I chose them and scheduled my consultation. I would recommend Dr. Brantley and Plastic & Hand Surgery Associates to everyone. From visit to visit, his nurses remembered me and the things that were important to me. I was not just another patient like a lot of clinics make you feel. I felt as if they took a personal interest in my case. From their friendly service, caring hearts, and the awesome work Dr. Brantley does, I can honestly say you will not find another group like them. My confidence has increased more than I thought possible since my surgery. Whether you are looking for someone to make you as comfortable as possible during your procedure or if you are looking for someone who is fantastic at what they do, you will get both with Dr. Brantley and his staff.
Thank you for making my recent surgery a pleasant experience. Your sense of humor and your obvious, genuine concern for your patients has been very refreshing. We left your office always laughing, in good spirits and feeling like we had a nice visit with a friend.
Nurse Ann was also a delight. Both of you are caring people and it was a good experience.
Thank you again, remain always as you are.
