About Tattoo Removal
Tattoos can be a great form of expression and individuality. However, some patients in the Flowood and Jackson, MS areas may end up regretting their decision or realize they're unhappy with the final outcome of their body art. At The Face & Body Center, our team can assess the size and ink of your tattoo and perform laser removal treatments to greatly reduce and even remove its appearance altogether. If you are ready to be free of your past body art and have a clean slate, then we invite you to schedule a consultation with us and set up your treatment plan today.
You will be the best candidate for laser tattoo removal if:
- You have unwanted body art you would like to have removed
- Your tattoo ink is not fresh, as new tattoos will be harder to remove
- You have a small, simple design (more intricate or larger tattoos are more difficult)
- You are in overall good health
- You have realistic expectations for your outcome
"Awesome Experince - After visiting just about every Surgeon in MS and LA, I saw Dr. Davidson, I knew right then he was my pick. In October 2016 I went in to the office and he drained my 450 each breast saline implants. No pain so simple, sent me home and said come back in 6 weeks. Mind you I still had the bags in. Thought this would be hard really never knew they were there. I had some pre-cancerous spots..."- A. / RealSelf / Jun 06, 2018

"A Godsend - He is the most amazing dr ever. He has done my breasts and as of yesterday filler and botox. So far the results are very noticeable. The right side seems to be taking a little longer to smooth the crease as it is still knotted a little. He has amazing bedside manner. He loves his patients, it shows through his work!!!!!! He is the Mississippi plastic surgeon god!!!!!!"- L. / RealSelf / Feb 19, 2019

What to expect
During your laser treatment, one of our team members will clean the treated area beforehand and then pass the laser device over your skin. The light emitted from the Q-switched Alex TriVantage laser will target and break up the ink, eventually fading its appearance over time. Depending on the size and freshness of the tattoo, your treatment time will vary. We can offer a numbing cream to help soothe the discomfort, as this procedure will sting due to the heat of the laser. Afterward, you will leave with the area covered in a dressing until your next session. You can resume your normal activities right after.
Each case is different and will require a different number of treatment sessions to reach the full results. You should gradually see your tattoo diminish after each treatment as the ink begins to be absorbed. It will usually take a few weeks for you to see the final outcome after your last session. The results from laser tattoo removal should be long lasting.
