Sclerotherapy is a nonsurgical, safe, and effective way to treat unattractive blood vessels that have become broken and stretched out, forming red or purple patterns along the legs. These blood vessels are referred to as varicose or spider veins. Sclerotherapy works by injecting a sclerosing solution into the veins that allow blood vessels to collapse and be absorbed into the body, thus reducing their appearance. Our board-certified plastic surgeons of Flowood, MS at The Face & Body Center highly recommend sclerotherapy if you're experiencing self-consciousness and embarrassment due to your large, noticeable veins. If you have tried other methods and have had little success, then we encourage you to schedule an appointment with us today to learn more about your treatment options.
"Awesome Experince - After visiting just about every Surgeon in MS and LA, I saw Dr. Davidson, I knew right then he was my pick. In October 2016 I went in to the office and he drained my 450 each breast saline implants. No pain so simple, sent me home and said come back in 6 weeks. Mind you I still had the bags in. Thought this would be hard really never knew they were there. I had some pre-cancerous spots..."- A. / RealSelf / Jun 06, 2018

You will be a good candidate if:
- You have large, unattractive varicose and spider veins
- You have tried other solutions with little success
- You have good overall health with no known diseases or illnesses
- You have realistic expectations for your procedure
What to Expect
Sclerotherapy will be performed in an outpatient setting. One of our team members will inject a chemical solution into each vein that you wish to have removed. This may produce some discomfort or stinging as it enters the vein. Once complete, you will be able to leave with compression garments on the treated leg(s) and return to your normal activities. You may experience some irritation, itching, or bruising in the injection site. It will usually take multiple sessions to reach the desired outcome.
After each session, you should see noticeable improvement within 2 – 3 weeks. It will usually take around six weeks to see the final results, which should produce great reduction or removal altogether of the veins being treated. Your results should be long lasting.
